What is TikTak?

TikTak is a car sharing brand that meets the minute car rental needs of individuals and entities and allows you to pay as you use it. TikTak allows you to pick the car of your choice among thousands of options for different needs and tastes so that you may drive as long as you like and pay as you go.

Anyone who:

  • holds a valid B class driving license for at least 1 (one) year,
  • has not been subject to any sanction for seizure of their driving license by competent authorities during the last 1 (one) year,
  • has not been involved in more than two accidents due to their own fault during the last 1 (one) year,
  • is domiciled in Turkey,
  • holds a valid credit card which is eligible for online shopping with sufficient limit, and
  • has a smart mobile phone with iOS or Android operating system.

This is a model which enables those who think “Since I don’t have a car, how could I travel as I like?” to pay per minute of rent with their individual credit card. Hire your car by tapping “Hire Now” button on TikTak mobile application.

This is a rental model launched for corporate customers of TikTak. The cars rented through this model are driven by company employees authorized by fleet managers. Companies may pay the rental charges through corporate credit card after each rent or they may purchase rental packages with advance payment in order to benefit from price advantages. Rent your car by tapping “Corporate Rental” button on TikTak mobile application.

For users authorized to engage in corporate rentals, “Corporate Rental” button will appear on the mobile application. You may complete the application form on the website or call (0212) 380 25 35 during office hours in order to be registered as corporate customer of TikTak.

Yes, HGS is available in all cars.

These packs are offered with several advantages for different needs of TikTak users.

For example, you will be given a certain amount of TikTak bonuses when you purchase a TikTak pack. You may use TikTak bonuses to cover the rental fees.

Our special packages are offered on “Load Prepaid Balance” tab on Profile page of our mobile application.

You may purchase a special package by using the credit card registered on TikTak mobile application.

Following the transaction, the TRY equivalent of the package will be transferred to the “Prepaid Balance” available on “Profile” tab of the mobile application. TikTak Bonuses arising from your package purchases will be loaded to “TikTak bonus” section on the same page.

TikTak bonuses will be provided under our special campaigns or for your pack purchases. As a payment tool in TRY, you may use TikTak bonuses to pay for your rentals. They are accumulated on “TikTak bonuses” section available on the Profile tab of the mobile application.

By visiting “Campaigns” tab on the mobile application, you may follow special campaigns with TikTak bonus advantages and purchase our TikTak packs to earn extra TikTak bonuses.

What is the pricing method for rental per minute?

  • The rate per minute starts from TRY 1.99 and is varied based on the automobile class.
  • For rentals per minute, you will be entitled to drive up to 200 kilometers for each rental. You will be charged for the duration of actual service.
  • If you exceed the driving limit of 200 kilometers, you will be charged an extra kilometer charge based on the excess fee designated for the relevant car.
  • The prices for all car types are shown below.

What is an hourly package and how is it used?

Hourly packages refer to prepaid packages which might be purchased for a specific duration at the beginning of the rent in order to allow you to rent the car per minute. The package purchased at the beginning of a rent may only be used for that rent. The balance of an hourly package may not be transferred to another rent or otherwise cancelled or modified once it is purchased. Discounted hourly packages may also be used for TikTak City, Office and Home.

If the hourly package expires, how much will I pay for the rest of the rent?

Upon the expiration of the package duration, you will be charged a fee based on the rental fee per minute designated for the relevant car.

Do I have to purchase an hourly package for rentals per minute?

You may rent a car without purchasing a discounted hourly package, too. If you do not purchase a discounted hourly package, the rental fee will be calculated based on the fee per minute.

Is there any kilometer limit for hourly packages?

There is no additional kilometer limit to hourly packages. You will be entitled to drive the car up to 200 kilometers per rental.

What is the pricing method for daily rents?

  • For daily rentals, you will be charged a daily rental fee based on the number of days during which the rental will be effective. In addition to the daily rental fee, you may purchase a kilometer package or pay per kilometer without purchasing a package.

How can I create an account on TikTak?

TikTak is a mobile application which can be downloaded to your smart phone via Google Play and AppStore. After downloading the application, tap “Register” button and fill in the relevant blanks and complete all of the required steps to create an account.

After the Customer Relations Management employees check and confirm the information provided in the application form as well as the driving license and photograph uploaded to the application, you may start renting as you like.

I have renewed my driving license available on the system. How can I upload my new driving license to TikTak?

Visit “Driving License Information” tab on “Profile” section in order to update the driving license information and upload a photo of the new driving license.

How can I hire a car with TikTak?

  • Once your account is confirmed, sign in to TikTak mobile application,
  • Using the mobile application, pick the car of your choice among the options available in your area,
  • Tap the rental per minute or daily rental button according to your needs,
  • Tap “Hire Now” button,
  • Identify your credit card on the screen. (This credit card will be used for the pre-authorization and payment of the service charge.)
  • Arrive at the location where the car is parked within the duration granted to you.
  • After reaching the location, check the car for external damages within the designated duration. Then, open the door of the car using the mobile application in order to start the rent.

If you come across a TikTak car in your area and want to hire the car immediately;

  • Tap the “QR Code” button on the mobile application so that the application may have access to the camera of your phone.
  • Put the camera in front of one of the QR codes available on the left lower hand of the front and rear glasses of the car in order to scan the code.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen in order to start the rent immediately.

If the car has not been rented already, you may hire it by using the QR code with immediate effect.

Before activating the rent, walk around the car to check if there is any external damage.

If there is no damage, tap “No Other Damage, Open the Doors” button on the mobile application.

If you notice any damage, tap “Report New Damage” button in order to report the damage.

If you do not wish to continue with the rental, you may review other options on the application.

If there is garbage or any similar item inside the car, please inform us about the details.

If you do not wish to continue, you may finish the ride and review other options on the application.

If you do not wish to continue, the rental fee shall be reimbursed to your prepaid balance upon conclusion of the ride.

All TikTak payments will be made solely by means of a credit card which is eligible for online shopping and has sufficient limit. Debit cards are not eligible for payment.

Will I use the car key during rental? If yes, how will I take the key?

  • While activating the rental, use TikTak mobile application to open the doors of the car.
  • Take the key from the glove box to start the engine.
  • If you have to leave the car before finishing the ride, you may open and close the doors by using the car key.
  • While finishing the ride, leave the key at the glove box and lock the doors via TikTak mobile application.

Leaving the key at a visible space in the glove box will be helpful for the next driver.

TikTak cars are equipped with Vehicle Identification System (VIS). You may refuel the car at the nearest Shell station without making payment.

Please refuel the car by considering the needs of the next driver and do not leave the fuel tank empty while delivering the car.

In the course of the rent, you may tap the “Nearest Filling Station” on TikTak mobile application in order to reach the list of Shell stations.

You may hire a TikTak car for as long as you want. Minimum rental duration is 1 minute.

Daily rental extends from 1 day to 14 days.

Yes, you may. But please remember that you may not finish the ride without bringing the car back to the service zone indicated in TikTak mobile application.

Visit “Service Zone” under “Other Processes (…)” menu on TikTak mobile application in order to see a map of the current service zone.

While the rental is active;

  • You may park the car at any location where no parking ban is in effect or where the car will not be damaged.
  • You can use Isparks. When you pay the Ispark fee, 10 percent more of the amount you pay is credited into your account as TikTak Points.
  • You may park the car at all private parking lots provided that the parking fee will be under your responsibility

While finishing the ride,

  • You may park the car at any location within the service zone where the car will not be towed away or get damaged,
  • You may park the car at any point within the service area where the user who will be renting after you can easily access the car.
  • You can leave the car at all Isparks available within the service area.
  • Please review “Rate and Expense Policy” on TikTak mobile application for detailed information about potential expenses which might be incurred as a result of parking the car at an unacceptable location.

If the car you will rent is at an İspark zone, upload a photo of the parking lot receipt paid for taking the car from İspark on the “Upload İspark Receipt” section which is available at the active drive screen.

Should you conclude the rental at İspark or pay any İspark fee during the effective period of rental, upload a photo of the parking lot receipt on the “Upload İspark Receipt” section which is available at the active drive screen. If you pay any İspark fee after concluding your rental by locking the car, upload a photo of the parking lot receipt on “TikTak Reimbursement Requests” section which is available in “Contact Us” form on our website.

The parking lot fee plus 10% of the payment will be uploaded to your TikTak account within 24 hours of your payment.

  • First of all, call 112 for an ambulance if anyone is injured. Also, you will be legally required to call 155 to have a police report issued.
  • Tap "Road Assistance" button at the mobile application and follow the steps under "I Made an Accident" section in order to report the accident.
  • Call our Active Rental Support Line at 0850 733 44 44 after reporting the accident.
  • If there is a significant damage, do not leave the car unattended until the site team and tow truck arrive at the site.

Documents to be Presented

If the accident is unilateral and does not involve any car other than yours, you should create a determination report for traffic accidents with material damages.

If the accident is bilateral and involves another car in addition to your car, create a report with mutual consent or a determination report for traffic accidents with material damages. Then, send the papers to us through the “Contact Us” form on our website.

What will you pay?

If you have not violated the traffic act and submitted all necessary papers, there is nothing to worry about. The entire damage value will be covered by TikTak regardless of the ratio of fault.

You will not be charged any Damage Management Fee which is incurred for follow-up of damage process if your fault is below 50% for bilateral accidents or 0% for unilateral accidents. If the ratio of fault attributable to you is higher than those provided above, you will be charged the current value of the Damage Management Fee provided in the Expense and Fee Policy in the mobile application.

Since some TikTak users may be allergic to animal hair, please make sure to keep your pet inside a special box or cage.

Smoking is forbidden even if the windows are open. Please keep in mind that the car will be driven by other people.

Please review the “Rate and Expense Policy” on TikTak mobile application for information about the user-related expenses.

Items left or damaged inside the car will be under the responsibility of the users. They are not covered by the insurance policy.

If you find any item inside the car, please leave it at the glove box or trunk and inform us by clicking “Lost Item” option on the Contact Us form on our website.

When you finish the ride, you can leave your TikTak car at the free parking areas or Isparks within the service area specified in the mobile application. If you finish your ride at the Ispark car park, you must leave the Ispark voucher inside the car, visible through the window, on the dashboard so that the next user can pay.

You should ensure that the car is left at a space where it will not be towed or damaged in any way and that the next user can easily reach it.

After that, tap the “Finish Ride” button on the mobile application and follow the instructions to finish the ride. Please remember to take your items with you, remove the garbage if any and make sure that minimum ¼ of the tank is full for the use of the next TikTak driver before finishing the ride.

Please visit “Driving History” tap on the “Profile” section of the mobile application in order to review the details of your rental history.

Toll fees applicable for the rental period will be calculated based on the number of bridges and highways used during the journey. The fee may be collected from your credit card along with the rental fee or else directly collected from your credit card by charging the fee separately.

How can I hire a TikTak car for daily use?

  • Once your account is confirmed, sign in to TikTak mobile application,
  • Using the mobile application, pick the car of your choice among the options available in your area,
  • Choose the “Daily” tab,
  • Tap “Hire” button,
  • Choose the number of days to be applicable for the rent. The total price will be calculated according to the length of rental and shown on the screen. The price payable for the distance to be covered will also be shown on the same screen.
  • Next, identify the credit card to be used for collecting the rental fee. (This credit card will be used for the pre-authorization and payment of the service charge.)
  • Since the rental fee is to be collected at the beginning of the rental process, it will be charged your approval.
  • Daily rent will be activated once you find the car, check it and open its doors.

May I extend the duration of Daily Rent before it is finished? Will I be charged a different price for such an extension?

Yes, you may extend the duration for as long as you like while the daily rent service is active. The daily price will be same as the price charged at the beginning of the rent. There is no price difference.

Is there any kilometer limit for daily rentals?

As you start the daily rental, you may either purchase a kilometer package which fulfills your needs. Alternatively, you may pay per kilometer without purchasing a kilometer. You may purchase additional kilometer packages during the rental process. If you do not purchase an additional package, you will be charged per kilometer.

May I shorten the duration of Daily Rent?

No, you may not shorten the duration of daily rent after making a commitment at the beginning of the rent. Since you may extend the duration as many times as you like during the rental period, you may choose the minimum number of days at the beginning and then extend the duration according to your needs.

The duration of Daily Rent is over but I haven’t finished the ride. How will I make payment?

In case of Daily Rent, the system will activate the rental per minute service as soon as you exceed the duration specified at the beginning of the rent. After that, you will be charged for each minute of your use. When you finish the ride, the additional minute-based charge will be collected from your credit card.

What if the car is broken during Daily Rent?

If the car does not start during the daily rent, please contact the Call Center. Our teams will handle the situation according to the type of the failure.

What if I have an accident during Daily Rent?

In case of an accident, please make sure to report the accident to us via “Road Assistance” button on our mobile application just like the rental per minute service. After that, you may contact the Call Center. Our teams will handle the situation according to the type of the accident.

What is TikTak City?

It is a TikTak service where TikTak cars are available in certain parking lots, where you can start your rental, and go anywhere you want and terminate at any of these parking lots.

In TikTak City, there are electric cars as well as models of different types.

In order to use TikTak City, first of all you should be a TikTak member. If you are above 25 years of age, you may start using TikTak City right now. As for users who are younger than 25, they should present a SGK employment certificate extracted from e-Government system during the last one month by means of the ‘Contact Us’ form available in our website if they are currently employed. Students who are younger than 25 should present a student certificate extracted from e-Government system during the last one month while those who are not full-time students in a formal educational institution should both submit the student certificate and SGK employment certificate extracted from e-Government system by means of the ‘Contact Us’ form.

The rental fee is calculated based on the number of minutes you use, over the rental fee per minute of the car you choose. The fee includes the right to enjoy a mileage of 200 kilometers per rental. If you exceed 200 kilometers, you will start to pay an extra mileage fee in addition to the fee per minute.

You can rent a car for the number of minutes you wish. Minimum rental time is 1 minute.

TikTak City does not offer daily rental service.

You can terminate your rental only at TikTak City points. You can view City points on our mobile application.

You can go out of town, but you must terminate the rental by returning the car to the station where you took it. You must make sure that the charge level of the electric car you use is sufficient for the round trip range.

An electric car, unlike conventional gasoline and diesel cars, is a car powered by an electric motor. There is no difference in performance between electric cars and conventional petrol and diesel cars. It offers users a much quieter and more comfortable driving experience.

The full charge time of the electric car is about 3 hours. The average distance that can be travelled on a full charge is 280 kilometers. With a 30-minute charge, you can travel approximately 60 km.

What is TikTak Home and TikTak Office?

TikTak Home is a station-based service that is available at contracted sites.

TikTak Office is a station-based service that is available at contracted plazas and offices.

Only our users who have the right to enter the stations are eligible to enjoy TikTak Home and TikTak Office. The rental of cars is started at a contracted station point, and the rental is terminated by dropping the car back to this point.

Only electric cars are available.

Only TikTak users who have the right to enter the stations can rent a car. If you do not have a TikTak membership, you can download the application from Google Play and Apple Store to become a member.

The rental fee is calculated based on the number of minutes you use, over the rental fee per minute of the car you choose. The fee includes the right to enjoy a mileage of 200 kilometers per rental.   • To charge the car and open the cover of the charging area, you must make sure that the ignition is off.
  • To open the charging cover on the front logo of the car, you must press the button with the plug symbol on the left side of the steering wheel.
  • After the charging area on the front logo of the car is opened, you must open the cover of the part where the socket will be placed, by pressing the left button lightly.
  • The car's charging cable is located in the trunk. One socket of the cable is compatible with the car and the other socket is compatible with the e-charging station.
  • After placing the charging cable in the charging unit, you must plug the other end of the cable into the car.
  • To prepare the charging unit, you must read the rectangular plastic card in the glove box into the charging unit and put it back in the glove box.
  • If the red light is on on the screen after placing the socket in the charging unit, you must lift the fuse up on the side.
  • After lifting the fuse up, the light turns green. When the light is both green and orange, the car is charging.
  • You can terminate your rental by locking the doors during charging.
  • If the car is charging when you want to start a new rental, you must first start your rental and press the button with the plug symbol on the left side of the steering wheel to disconnect the charging socket. Thus, the socket will be easily separated from the vehicle.
  • You must unplug the charging cable from the car and put it in the trunk.
